Landmark Group as part of its Social Initiatives has been working on creating awarness about Non Communicable Diseases (NCD) in particular of Diabetes since 2010 across Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA). As part of the initiative, basic NCD detection Tests for Diabetes, Anemia, Hypertension and obesity are conducted along with Health history mapping of the individuals. The main beneficiaries of these initiatives are Slum Dwellers and Manufacturing Industry Workers.
Trained Community Health Workers conduct regular sessions by integrating various Group work techniques that ensure internalization of data. Pre and post session feedback is obtained from beneficiaries to understand the knowledge retention.
